Coming from a Christian home in Kansas, Travis has had a firm conviction that he would serve in ministry since he was 12 years old. Coming out of junior high, Travis attended a camp where the Lord confirmed the path ahead would be one of ministry. Since then, he has dedicated his life to that pursuit.
Travis met his wife, Meghan, at Bible College in Kansas. They married and graduated in 2002, moving two months later to Northern California where Travis entered into vocational ministry as a youth pastor.
Together, Travis and Meghan are raising three boys: Tytus (14), Jedidiah (10), and Judah (2), in addition to serving as foster parents for four years, bringing in two girls at different times into their loving home. For the past 17 years, Travis has served as a board member, pastor, and overseer of all youth and young adult ministries at Metro Calvary in Roseville, California.
During a period of transition for Calvary Metro, the Clark family took time to seek the Lord for their future. After considering all the possibilities of where the Lord might lead them, God opened the door for Travis to join the team here at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa. Travis' vision for our Jr. High Ministry comes from John 6:66–69, when Jesus asked his 12 disciples if they wanted to leave him after many departed. Peter answers, "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. We have come to believe and to know that you are the Holy One of God." "My desire for the youth is that they meet Jesus in such a real way that they understand there is nothing greater than Jesus that this world can offer." –Travis Clark
