Tonight, we were blessed to have Mark Allen as our guest speaker. He spoke on the trials that we go through. He looked into the wife of Manoah, who ended up being the mother of Samson. We will go through trials that we may not understand why. The mother of Samson knew that she had to bring her trials to God. After receiving instruction from the Lord, she recognized the importance of obedience.
As we continue our study of 2 Samuel, we see the early compromises of David catching up to him. David's compromises with women early on in his life led to committing adultery with Bathsheba, a married woman. David went to great lengths to try to cover up his sin, which resulted in arranging the death of her husband, Uriah. The main points from tonight's study were:
This morning, we were blessed to have the band Lybecker come and do our morning services. They opened up with a set of worship songs. After worship, the band went on to play some of their own songs and describe how God has spoken to them through these songs. They emphasized that we are called to love one another. Our love for God should extend into love for our neighbors.

As we continue looking into the life of Isaac in the book of Genesis, we see that in ministry and in life, there are times where we go through striving and struggles, but God has prepared a place for us. We will encounter opposition, but God has a place for us, a place of rest in Him.
